Huawei P9 series may go official in Malaysia by end of May
Huawei has launched its new P9 series smartphones at its South Pacific Conference in Bali, Indonesia yesterday. Apart from the earlier announced Huawei P9 and P9 Plus, the P9 Lite was also specially featured on this event.
Huawei P9 and P9 Plus
The main difference between the P9 and P9 Plus is that the P9 Plus has a larger 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with pressure-sensitive support, while the Huawei P9 is still using the conventional 5.2 inch 1080p IPS screen.
Huawei P9 is packed with a 3,000mAh capacity battery, while the P9 Plus is powered by a 3,400mAh higher cell.
The above mentioned difference are what separates between the two P9 series devices. Other than that, these two devices shared the similar components under the hood. Both of them are running Kirin 955 processor that coupled with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM, two storage capacity choices (32GB or 64GB) that support microSD cards expansion up to 128GB.
And of course the signature first ever co-engineered Leica-certified dual 12MP rear cameras and an 8MP front-facing shooter.
Huawei P9 Lite
The P9 Lite that was also featured during this event is the lower-specced model among the P9 series. This handset is also sporting a 5.2-inch Full HD display that is powered by a Kirin 650 processor. It is mated with 2GB or 3GB of RAM with 16GB of expandable storage and a 3,000mAh size battery.
There’s also a 13MP rear camera, and an 8MP front snapper, as well as a rear fingerprint sensor, which can also be seen on the P9 and P9 Plus.
