MIRI: A professional race car driver died in a high-speed crash at Lutong old airport motor-racing circuit at Jalan Pantai here yesterday afternoon.
The 37-year-old driver lost control before he swerved out from the racing track and landed in a grassy area.
The fatal crash reportedly happened around 1.30pm.
It was understood that the deceased sustained head and bodily injuries.
An investigation on the incident is underway.
Due to the crash impact, the race car was split in two.
It is learnt that the crash occurred during an auto show.
