KUALA LUMPUR: A self-check-in for all AirAsia and AirAsia X guests, travelling through Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2), will be fully implemented from today.

As such, counter check-in at klia2 will no longer be available.

The process is part of the airline’s efforts to create a smoother and seamless travel experience for all guests, said AirAsia in a statement yesterday.

It said the self-check-in can be conducted through various options such as web check-in, mobile check-in and kiosk check-in at the airport, before proceeding to the baggage drop counters, for guests who have check-in baggage.

For AirAsia flights, web and mobile check-ins are available 14 days up to one hour before scheduled time of departure.

Meanwhile, guests on AirAsia X flights can check-in via web or mobile from 14 days up to four hours before their scheduled time of departure.
