Targeting the bulls-eye in the archery event.
BINTULU: The ‘Lan Riadah’ programme at Surau Darus Syakirin in Kampung Assyakirin on Sunday drew a good response from Muslims here.
It was held in conjunction with Sarawak Islamic Religious Department’s Innovation Programme, where activities like chess, congkak, exercise and archery were held from 6.30am until 1pm.
The programme was to encourage Muslim youths with their prayer obligations and other Islamic-related activities at the surau or mosque.
It was also to foster the Muslim youths in sports and other games and to bring them closer to the mosque.
Zaiedy Nor Abu Nasir, political secretary of the Bintulu MP (Tiong King Sing), officiated at the closing ceremony.
Also present were Jais Bintulu officer Ustaz Syed Harold Salleh Wan Mohamad, Surau Darus Syakirin chairman Yusuf Ali, Kampung Assyakirin Phase 3 chief Zaini Seli and residents.
