KUCHING: Parti Tenaga Rakyat Sarawak (Teras) central executive committee has resolved that all members will apply to join Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) en-bloc.

Acting Teras president, Datuk Peter Nansian Ngusie, said the party will begin to collect applications from all interested members within the next two weeks.

He added that the committee also resolved to put matters involving the dissolution of the party on hold, while awaiting the outcome of the application to join PBB.

“Being a multiracial party, Teras also has non-Bumiputera members and we will give them the freedom to join any other party of their choice.

“In regards to Teras, any decision on the party will depend on the result of our application,” Nansian told a press conference after chairing the CEC meeting at Teras headquarters today (May 26).

Also present was party secretary-general Datuk Sylvester Entri Muran.

The exercise will involve some 25,000 members from 24 party divisions throughout the state.
