SRI AMAN: A pre-Gawai celebration held at the mini stadium here on Sunday night was attended by more than 200 people, comprising members from the Barisan Nasional (BN)-SUPP Simanggang election machinery, community leaders and local residents.
Besides the pre-Gawai event, a thanksgiving dinner was also held to celebrate the victory of Datuk Francis Harden Hollis who managed to retain the Simanggang constituency in the recent 11th state election.
On May 7, Harden who is also Assistant Minister for Rural Economy (Interior Areas) and Plantation won with a majority of 1,388 votes in a four-cornered fight.
