S Kalimantan police confiscates illegal cosmetics and parts

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: Special Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimsus) of South Kalimantan Regional Police confiscated a number of cosmetics and motorcycle parts allegedly illegal from two stores in the Banjar district, AntaranewsKalsel reported.

“Disclosure of the case was based on information from the public which then followed up with an investigation by members in the field,” said Director of Ditreskrimsus AKBP Anjar Wicaksana Sik in Banjarmasin on Monday.

He said the disclosure of the case was conducted on June 16, 2016 in which the police managed to confiscate 275 types of beauty cosmetics and 300 kinds of motorcycle parts.

The case was revealed by Ditreskrimsus team who developed the case together with the team that raided the H boutique shop belonging to SM.

The boutique store after being searched selling various kinds of cosmetics allegedly illegal and in SS Martapura store raided also known to sell various types of auto parts which were also alleged to be illegal.

“Currently there are two owners of illegal goods that named as suspects, while cosmetic and parts without documents were seized,” he said.

The cosmetics and illegal parts confiscated by Ditkrimsus all were imported brands. Some did not have distribution registration number, and some others with number. But it could be false registration number.

“This case still being explored and we are still checking, could be the registration sticker is false,” he said.

South Kalimantan Regional Police appealed to the public to be careful about the circulation of illegal cosmetics or do not have a marketing authorization.

“Citizens must be thorough and vigilant if they want to buy cosmetics. Illegal cosmetic of course with content also not good for health currently have circulated,” he said.
