KUCHING: I-Systems College Kuching offers an ‘international’ experience for local students in partnership with the School of Health and Social Care, London South Bank University (LSBU), UK.

The September 2016 intake is now open for the BSc (Hons) Nursing Studies (Post-Registration, N/723/6/0146) with a course fee rebate available for the first 10 registrations.

This partnership was made possible in March 2013, when LSBU School of Health and Social Care former executive dean Professor Judith Ellis MBE and Professor Mary Lovegrove OBE, the international lead were in Kuching to sign an MOU with I-Systems College Kuching.

It is a two-year programme designed to deliver graduates the necessary skills required for them to function in a modern clinical environment and allow qualified nurses to obtain an internationally recognised award from LSBU, UK. This programme is approved by the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia, Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and Nursing Board Malaysia.

The BSc (Hons) Nursing Studies is delivered using a variety of learning and teaching methods, including e-learning and face to face lectures in Kuching.

This course builds on the experience and skills of qualified nurses (who qualified at Diploma level), and also gives students the academic skills required of an Honours graduate. The course content enables plenty of opportunity for teaching and learning in the Malaysian context.

Students are supported by a team of lecturing staff from the School of Health and Social Care, LSBU, UK as well as the Nursing Department, I-Systems College Kuching.
