MIRI: The Borneo Evangelical Mission (BEM) Senadin’s two-night Healing and Deliverance Evangelistic Rally drew over 2,000 on Friday.

Pastor Mary Jonathan from Rhema Care and Evangelistic Centre in Tampoi, Johor Bahru was the speaker for the rally held at the civic centre.

She was assisted by her husband Jonathan Seng, BEM Senadin founder and chairman Andrew Mering Jau Bara and his wife Nelly Unyang.

Mary said there is a great need for Sarawakians to consolidate their faith in God.

“Discard your old beliefs even if it is your family’s traditions for generations. Repent and trust in God wholeheartedly and you will be saved and not sink even on judgment day,” she said.

Andrew thanked the people for supporting the rally.

“Through this evangelistic rally, held as part of our church’s ninth anniversary celebration, we hope to contribute to efforts by Christian leaders in Miri to fortify the spiritual revival spirit of the people here.

“We are hoping that when the Godly revival spirit happens in our beloved Miri City, its people enjoy God’s abundant blessings, peace and joy,” he said.

BEM Senadin will also hold an anniversary dinner tonight at Mega Hotel to raise funds to build a roof for the Senadin Champion Kids Preschool playground.

The preschool at the Tudan Settlement Housing Scheme has 34 pupils.
