More questions that lead to wisdom and strength

0

IN the previous columns, we looked at some questions that could bring us greater wisdom, strength and happiness. We will further explore the concept this week.

How do I change my perspective towards a problem?

We are often very good at giving advice to others. However, when it comes to our own issues, we tend to lose focus and get drowned by them.

In fact, often times it is the way we look at the problems that make things seem impossible or hopeless. When we are able to take a different viewpoint about any issue, we will find that there is always a solution somehow.

Whether an issue is a problem or opportunity, it is all up to how we want to look at it.

Successful people always see challenges as opportunities to grow, to make things better or to create new ideas. When we are able to see things from a different viewpoint, we will be able to turn things around to our favour.

What problems can I solve today?

If possible, we should try to solve the problems scheduled to be solved tomorrow today. There is no way that we can run away from problems even if we try to delay addressing them.

Even if the problem is very challenging, we will still have to face it. Hence, facing the problem bravely and finding all means to overcome it is necessary.

If we are able to overcome the issue today, we will have less things to worry about tomorrow. Furthermore, we would be able to sleep better when the issue is resolved rather than tossing and turning thinking about the problem at night.

What should I be proud of?

We should be proud of every single achievement that we have made, even if it is something small. It is the result and not the size of the achievement. Every success means we have moved a step forward.

We can be pleased with simple things such as overcoming a challenge, reading a book, helping a friend or making new friends.

When we acknowledge and celebrate every single little success, we are actually encouraging ourselves and giving ourselves a pat on the back.

This will build up our level of confidence and boost our spirits.

What should I be thankful for?

There are many people and things that we can be thankful for in our daily lives. Every single day is a gift to us and we should be thankful for that gift of life.

A smile from someone, a safe journey, a cup of coffee, a favourite song playing on the radio; these are things that we should be thankful for. When we are able to count our blessings, we will find that life is so much more beautiful and meaningful.

Do I want to start now?

Do not feel that all these questions sound too unrealistic. We can make our lives more positive if we wish to.

We need to do something about our lives if we want to live positively and happily.

Our lives could be boring and meaningless or interesting and lively. It all lies in our hands.

Why shouldn’t we try our best to live a happier life? After all, what do we have to lose?
