KUCHING: Sarawak’s hopes of getting into the finals to score a gold medal was shattered today when the lawn bowl team was defeated by Sabah during the women’s pair semi-final match today (July 30).
Sarawak lost 8 to 21 to Sabah.
Nur Fithri Yaani Hamdin and Sharifah Syaza Nisrina Mumtaz Wan Jemudin who participated in the women’s pair match was the only Sarawak team to have competed during the semi final match.
Other teams that made it through the final match that will continue later this afternoon are Perak vs Perlis in the men’s pair category, Terengganu vs Sabah in men’s triples, Sabah vs Kedah in women’s pair category and Kedah vs Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur (WPKL) in the women’s triples category.
