Internet services throughout certain areas in Miri have been disrupted since yesterday (July 31) due to roadworks, according to a statement from Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM).
Roadworks carried out by a third party contractor have apparently affected TM’s underground cables in the areas, resulting in network failures and services disruptions for many who rely on internet connectivity to carry out their business.
“We would like to update that service restoration activities are currently in progress and are expected to be completed on 2 August 2016.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this and would like to thank customers for their patience and understanding during the affected period. Rest assured that the services will be back to normal upon completion of the restoration activities,” the statement elaborated.
