KUCHING: The Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) recently feted its staff at its annual party in celebration of their hard work and commitment.

A total of 170 staff members comprising permanent employees and part-timers descended on the “Hawaiian Night”-themed event at Damai Puri Resort and Spa on July 22 for an evening of revels and feasting.

“The main aim of this staff party is for BCCK management to recognise the untiring efforts put in by the BCCK team in helping the centre achieve its growth objectives. Our growth is not just confined to the business aspect,” said BCCK chief executive officer Eric Van Piggelen

“It encompasses good progress made in other key areas both front and back of house which are essentially the very backbone of the centre that ensures the success of our role as a key player in the business events industry in Sarawak. This evening of fun and treats is a heartfelt ‘thank you’ from management to all of you,” said Eric.

At the function, the centre presented excellent service awards to 23 staff members who had served at the convention centre since its establishment five years ago.

Various activities for the night included the ‘BCCK’s Got Talent’ competition which saw a number of highly enthusiastic contestants strutting their stuff in vying for cash prizes.

Games, karaoke, the best dressed lady and gentleman and lucky dips also made the line-up of activities.
