LIMBANG: A Mobile Community Transformation Centre (CTC) is designed to allow the rural folk free access to government services and the dissemination of correct information and policies of the government.

Limbang MP Hasbi Habibollah said the centre, which was launched on March 1, 2013, by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, had been expanded throughout the country, including Limbang District.

“CTC is part of the government’s efforts to reach out to the rural people. It is a testimony of the government’s seriousness in improving the people’s quality of life. With CTC, the people need not have to go to government offices in urban centres for services rendered,” he said when officiating at the opening of Mobile CTC here on Tuesday.

Batu Danau assemblyman Paulus Palu Gumbang,  Resident Datuk Maria Hasman, Vivien Sipai a representative of  Federal Financial office and a representative of Limbang District Officer Hamidah Halpi were also present.

Among services provided by Mobile CTC are medical checkups, dental clinic, company registration, welfare assistance and many others in line with the 1Malaysia slogan of ‘People First, Performance Now’.

Hasbi added that CTC was part of the government’s Blue Ocean Strategy similar to the Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) for those in urban areas.

A total of 25 agencies are involved in CTC Limbang and among them are Road Transport, Immigration, Prison, Agriculture departments and Agro Bank.
