MIRI: Miri police arrested a man in his 20s who was trying to break into a kindergarten at Holiday Park here at about 9.50pm on Saturday.
However, his two accomplices managed to escape.
It is learnt that the police were alerted by a member of the public who saw three men behaving suspiciously and wandering around the kindergarten at about 9.30pm.
When the police arrived, the suspects tried to flee but the police team’s fast action saw one of the three apprehended.
It is believed that the trio were also responsible for a recent break-in at a kindergarten in Ocean Park.
The apprehended suspect was brought to Miri Central Police station (CPS Miri) lockup for further investigation.
