SIBU: A pre-Christmas celebration will be held at Rumah Enggul in Sungai Selitut, Tatau on Dec 17, organised by the service centre of Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department and Selangau MP Datuk Joseph Entulu Belaun.
Organising chairman Bayang Ringkat said various activities were being planned for the event that will be followed by a meet-the-people session where Entulu will be the guest of honour.
The activities include ‘Kumang’ and ‘Kebaya Queen’ contests as well as karaoke competition for men and women.
The ‘Kumang’ contest offers RM3,000; RM1,000 and RM500 worth of prizes for first, second and third place winner respectively.
For ‘Kebaya Queen’ contest, the first, second and third place winner will receive RM2,000, RM800 and RM500 worth of prizes respectively.
The karaoke contest offers cash prize of RM300, RM200 and RM100 for first, second and third place winner respectively.
Those residing in Selangau parliamentary constituency are invited to join the contests.
Entry forms can be obtained from Selangau MP Service Centres in Selangau and Tatau bazaars and registration closes on Dec 16.
Local artistes Ricky El and Sima Tawil will perform at the event to entertain the crowd.
