Feli Stacy soars at Bintang Kecil 2016

KUCHING: The song ‘Aku Permata’ by Salma AF proved to be a lucky tune for Bintang Kecil 2016 finalist Feli Stacy from Sabah after her performance convinced the judges to crown her as this year’s champion during the finale held at Stadium Perpaduan on Sunday night.

Feli returned home with RM15,000, a trophy and certificate.

Meanwhile, Nurul Maimanah, or Nana from Malacca won second place with her rendition of Adira’s ‘Kekasih Teragung Dunia’, walking away with RM10,000, a trophy and certificate.

Maimanah also won the best performance award, winning an additional RM1,000 and trophy.

Sabahan Azleezatul Najwa, on the other hand won the third place, returning home with RM7,000, trophy and certificate.

Meanwhile, Dania Zafirah Sulaiman from Negeri Sembilan, Danial Hafiz from Perak and Noor Fazreena Shahdan from

Sarawak each received consolation prizes of RM3,000, trophy and certificate.

This year marks Bintang Kecil’s 30th year. This year’s finalists underwent three weeks of intensive training and activities while they were staying at the Yayasan Sarawak hostel prior to the finals.

Among their activities throughout the three weeks were vocal technique, stage performance art, and dancing classes as well as recreational activities.

The finalists were also brought around Kuching where they visited places of interest such as the museum, planetarium and other attractions.

Prizes were presented by Acting Head of State Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar.
