KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud received a courtesy call from Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg at the Astana here yesterday.
Abang Johari was there to discuss matters concerning the upcoming state cabinet meeting.
Taib also received a courtesy call from a Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) delegation led by Kuching North Datuk Bandar Datuk Abang Abdul Wahab Abang Julai.
The delegation officially invited Taib and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib to attend DBKU’s Chap Goh Meh Festival on Feb 11 at the Kuching Esplanade.
Among those in the delegation were Chap Goh Meh Festival committee chairman Datuk Wee Hong Seng and DBKU director Dr Saadiah Abdul Samat.
