KUCHING: Warung BM has opened its first branch here and to kick it off, it offers special opening promotion for diners.
For every RM20 and above spent in a single receipt, diners will get a RM5 voucher. This promotion is valid until Feb 28.
The first Warung BM restaurant is in Sibu. The company owns a chicken farm and as such, all the chicken used is fresh with no antibiotics or hormones. Its healthy chicken, sold under the Nutribest brand, is also available at its Nutribest Fresh Mart Sdn Bhd outlets here at Mile 7, Jalan Satok, Emart Batu Kawah and Emart Matang.
“We are in the process of getting halal certification for both the restaurant and the chicken farm. For the farm, we expect to obtain it in six months. We raise and slaughter the chickens in Sibu and we transport them fresh to Kuching daily,” said owner Richard Ngu when met at Warung BM’s grand opening here yesterday.
“Our specialty is the ‘Smoked Chicken Rice’, served with a delicious chilli condiment. It is a must-try.”
Other items on the menu include local favourites like ‘Nasi Ayam Penyet’ and ‘Mee Goreng’, as well as Western items like Lamb Shank, Lamb Chop, Steaks, Grilled Potato Chicken, ‘XXL Fried Chicken Chop’, Seafood Carbonara and Spaghetti Bolognese.
Opening hours are 11am to 11pm daily, including public holidays.
The Warung BM here is on the ground floor of Block B, Icom Square at Jalan Pending – next to Izakaya.
