SRI AMAN: Lingga assemblywoman Simoi Peri presented donations in cash and kind to lighten the burden of Salbie Sabeli at Kampung Hulu Lingga near here yesterday.
Salbie is suffering from kidney disease due to diabetes.
The initiative, Simoi pointed out, was part of the Care for State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Lingga programme organised by the Lingga Community Service Centre.
“Together with the crew of Care for DUN Lingga, we are here to visit Salbie and deliver some daily necessities as well as cash to lighten her burden.
“We hope that she will be brave to endure and overcome this difficult time and get well soon to live normally and be able to carry out daily activities as usual,” she said.
The programme is a monthly activity for the Care for DUN Lingga team, she added.
Special Affairs Department (Jasa) officer in Batang Lupar Zaidel Ripin was among those present.
