KUCHING: SUPP Pending branch Youth secretary Milton Foo said MP Chong Chieng Jen should do his part to improve his constituencies instead of criticising Batu Kawah assemblyman Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian’s ‘free tuition plan’ in Batu Kawah.
Foo said Dr Sim who is also SUPP president has been working hard to develop his constituency and serve the people less than a year after he was elected in 2016.
“But what has Chong done for Kuching and Kota Sentosa as Kota Sentosa assemblyman and Kuching MP in the past 10 years? He should examine himself before he criticise Dr Sim,” he said.
Sim recently started free tuition classes in Mathematics and English for about 50 students in Desa Wira. He plans to open more free tuition centres in his constituency of Batu Kawah.
Chong had said although holding the position of boss, Dr Sim was doing a cleaner’s job.
“Chong admitted Dr Sim is a good ‘cleaner’ but I say Chong is a ‘parrot’. He complained and attacked the Barisan Nasional government as instructed by his Peninsula leaders,” Foo said.
Foo pointed out that if Chong had done his job, Kuching should be better than 10 years ago.
“It is Chong who did not do a good job – not Dr Sim.”
