Juma’ani announces RM63,000 boost for SK Kampung Baru

KAPIT: The Chief Minister’s wife, Datin Amar Datuk Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang announced a sum of RM63,000 for Sekolah Kebangsaan Kampung Baru when she visited the school to officiate at the presentation of school aid to its students yesterday.

Of the amount, she said RM20,000 is from Sabati (Association of Wives of Ministers and Assistant Ministers), RM20,000 from Pusat Khidmat Petra Jaya, another RM20,000 from herself and RM3,000 is cash donation from herself for the ‘Program Pendidikan Khas Integrasi SK Kampung Baru’.

Earlier upon arrival, Juma’ani and her entourage were warmly greeted by the school pupils, teachers and parents with a welcoming dance performed by Primary 6 students.

A total of 435 pupils of the school received assistance in the form of school bag and stationery like pen, pencil and exercise book.

Accompanying Juma’ani to the school were Song district officer Jackline August, Datin Angelina Celestine Ujang (wife of Kapit MP Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi), Datin Leyta Kupa (wife of Hulu Rajang MP Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong), Rosnie Bilang (wife of Belaga assemblyman Liwan Lagang), Seriah Thomas (wife of Pelagus assemblyman Wilson Nyabong Ijang), Nancy Kuyor (wife of Bukit Goram assemblyman Jefferson Jamit Unyat), Pemanca Wasli Nor, Penghulu Abang Hamzah Bolhassan and Penghulu Wong Kie Ing.

In his welcoming speech, SK Kampung Baru headmaster Shan Sepah gave a brief account of the school’s history.
