KOTA KINABALU: The Yayasan Sabah Bersama Rakyat (YSBR) Roadshow moves to Sipitang at GATA Square from April 28-30  in conjunction with the International GATA Festival 2017 celebration.

The roadshow will also include an education carnival, which involves institutions of higher learning.

According to the director of Yayasan Sabah,  Datuk Sapawi Bin Haji Ahmad, during the Roadshow, Yayasan Sabah Group will also be offering a rebate of 20 percent to borrowers who would like to settle their study loan repayments.

“Borrowers who wish to settle their loan repayments may be able to do so at the Yayasan Sabah Mobile Collection Van stationed there. Opportunities such as this do not come often. Thus, lump sum payment is definitely encouraged,” he added.

“Judging from the recent five roadshows held in Sandakan, Kota Marudu, Keningau, Tamparuli and Kota Kinabalu, the reception to the amnesty offerings received great response. We received many inquiries, especially on arrears exemption where Yayasan Sabah Group study loan borrowers will be exempted from paying the arrears and able to discuss their study loan status with us during the roadshow,” he said.

“During the roadshow, the study loan borrowers who wish to know the status of their loans, as well as whether they have been earmarked for legal or C-TOS action, can refer to the said counter for information. Again, if the said borrowers have been earmarked for legal or C-TOS action, they will also be granted amnesty on that day if they agree to repay back their loans based on conditions set by Yayasan Sabah Group. They can also discuss further with our officers who will be available during the Roadshow,” he explained.

Many exciting activities await the public such as Batik Fashion Show by Pusat Kraftangan Sabah and career exhibition by various agencies and exhibitions by sponsors.

The Yayasan Sabah Group’s exhibition booth will also include University College Sabah Foundation (UCSF), Kolej Teknikal Yayasan Sabah (KTYS) and demonstrations of local handicrafts as well as participants of Zone’s office socioeconomic programmes, displaying and selling their products.
