KUCHING: Auditor-General Tan Sri Dr Madinah Mohamad led a delegation making a courtesy call on Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia here yesterday.

Madinah, whose two-year tenure runs until Feb 22, 2019 was appointed the nation’s Auditor-General in February this year, replacing Tan Sri Ambrin Buang who completed his term on Feb 22.

The courtesy call was the first of three received by the chief minister yesterday.

He later received a delegation from members of Samalaju Industrial Investors Union led by their president Koon Poh Ming, who briefed Abang Johari on the latest development in Samalaju.

A team of Malaysia Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) personnel led by the agency’s Sarawak chief First Admiral Ismaili Bujang Pit also came to Wisma Bapa Malaysia to meet the chief minister.

Ismaili briefed Abang Johari on the issue of foreign fishermen in Sarawak waters.

State Secretary Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani was present during the courtesy call by Madinah, while Deputy State Secretary Datuk Ismawi Ismuni was with Abang Johari in receiving the other visitors.
