MARUDI: Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) personnel here were summoned to help catch a thieving 12-foot python here yesterday.
Shopkeeper Hwong Haw Chong, 70, had gone to feed his chickens around 7.20am only to discover the slithery thief had somehow managed to breach the defences of the coop.
To his horror, he realised that the python had already killed one hen and was in the process of attacking another.
The scared septuagenarian immediately decided to call Bomba for help.
Six firefighters were deployed to the Kampung Pemindahan house.
It is understood that they skilfully removed the reptilian intruder within minutes.
