PUTRAJAYA: Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd (FGV) group president and chief executive officer Datuk Zakaria Arshad turned up at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) here yesterday to give a statement on FGV.
He arrived alone at the MACC headquarters at about 2.20pm armed with some documents.
“I was called by the MACC. I want to hand over documents related to FGV only,” he said when met by the press at MACC headquarters’ compound.
Asked whether he will answer allegations against him on the payment arrears issue involving Safitex and Delima Oil Products (DOP), Zakaria said: “I will answer any question.”
On Tuesday, Zakaria, FGV Group chief financial officer Ahmad Tifli Mohd Talha, Delima Oil Products Sdn Bhd senior general manager Kamarzaman Karim, and FGV Trading chief executive officer Ahmad Salman Omar were asked to go on leave immediately by FGV’s board.
FGV has notified Bursa Malaysia that Zakaria is on leave while an investigation into a number of transactions undertaken by its subsidiary, Delima Oil Products Sdn Bhd was carried out.
