KOTA KINABALU: A man fell some 50 feet into a ravine when he accidentally cut his leg with a grasscutter at Bukit Janda, Jalan Kampung Gana in Kota Marudu, yesterday.
State Fire and Rescue Department public relations officer Superintendent Mohd Affendy Ramin said Muijan Kansirong, 45, injured his right calf when he accidentally cut himself while cleaning a bush in the area around noon.
“We received a distress call regarding the incident at 12.34pm and deployed four personnel to the scene to carry the victim out from the ravine.
“The victim was then taken to the district hospital in an ambulance for treatment,” said Affendy.
Affendy also said the victim was in stable condition and under doctors’ supervision.
