SIBU: Lt-Col Zakaria Abul Rahman is now the deputy commander of the Territorial Army (TA) Regiment 510.
The handover of duties was held at Sri Rajang Camp here recently, where the acting deputy commander of TA Regiment 510, Major Kassim Brandi presented to Zakaria the instruments of office, witnessed by the Ninth Infantry Brigade Commander Brigadier-General Datuk Dzulkafli Mustafa.
The ceremony also included a parade mounted by 69 TA personnel.
Kassim took on the role of acting deputy commander on May 6, following the transfer of former deputy commander Lt-Col Jagit Indar Singh.
