KUCHING: Megalanes Sarawak and the Amateur Tenpin Bowling Association of Sarawak (Abas) are organising a bowling session for teachers in Kuching at Megalanes Sarawak E-Mart Batu Kawa this Saturday (July 22) from 10am to 12pm and a dialogue session on the association’s plans for school programme 2017-2022.
Abas vice president Robert Lu said this is also aimed at encouraging school teachers to become bowling instructors at school level and progressively becoming tenpin bowling coaches.
“We have more than 50 teachers who have registered for the session and we are targeting about 60 participants,” he said yesterday.
Lu said the participants would be briefed on the coaching instructors course which would be held at the same venue from July 27-29.
“The course will be conducted by me, Maradona Chok and Jackson Ting. This is the first phase of the programme to produce more coaching instructors who will then start bowling clubs in their respective schools,” he added.
