Embarkation Banjarmasin provided with star-hotel facilities

BANJARBARU, South Kalimantan: Prospective hajj pilgrims from embarkation Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, are provided with star hotel facilities during quarantine in haj dormitory before leaving for holy Mecca, AntaranewsKalsel reported.

“Facilities prepared in haj hostel equivalent to three-star-hotel,” said Head of Accommodation Committee of Indonesian Haj Management Committee (PPIH) Embarkation Banjarmasin Faisal in Banjarbaru, Saturday.

He said the Banjarmasin Embarkation pilgrims candidates from both South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan occupy rooms available in the new building of hajj dormitory.

Room facilities for pilgrims candidates from 13 districts and cities in South Kalimantan, including pilgrims from Central Kalimantan, are luxurious and comfortable to live in for one day.

“The facilities are complete such as air conditioning, refrigerator, water heater to flat television,” said the head of technical implementation unit (UPT) of the hajj dormitory.

In addition, the beds are also designed to accommodate three to five people equipped with quality latrines and not the same with the old room facilities which were of bunk beds.

According to him, each group of flight (kloter) as many as 320 pilgrim candidates, including officials, occupying rooms on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors of new building.

“The facilities equivalent with other hotel provided with two elevators to facilitate the prospective pilgrims up and down during in the hajj hostel,” he said.

The new building has a capacity of as many as 260 people, so that the excess of pilgrims will be placed in the Medina building which is also equipped with similar facilities.

“The rooms in the Medina building have also been renovated with the same facilities as rooms in new buildings, so the pilgrim candidates do not have to worry despite the old building,” he said.

Meanwhile, the kloter 1 who come entirely from Banjarmasin already entered the dorm on Saturday afternoon, and schedule to depart on Sunday (30/7) afternoon.

The departures of first until 17th kloter last in 24 August 2017 through Syamsudin Noor Airport according to the schedule set.
