Uarnzder Junaidi Kutoi (4th dan) was elected the secretary with Tiong Yew Moi (4th dan) as his assistant.

Elected as the treasurer was Robin Tsen Chun Boon (3rd dan) who has Tiong Sing Ling (4th dan) as his assistant.

Ordinary members of the committee are Kiu Chiong Inn, William Lim, Roger Tsen Chun Yu, Ignatius Teng Tiong Kee, Clara Leong, Sim Soon Lee, Allan Anis and Juwen Kunil.

Speaking after his election, Jamel said Sarawak Tang Soo Do Association is the umbrella organization of all Divisional Tang Soo Do Associations while calling for team work and unity.

In future Tang Soo Do national championships, he added, all affiliated associations in the state shall participate as the Sarawak Team.

“You are no longer allowed to go as individual teams.  No more Sibu team, Kuching team, Miri team and so on and so forth,” he explained.

The president said he would convene a meeting of the state body soon to discuss activities for the rest of the year.

“If we pool our ideas, we can do big things for our association,” he said.

The meeting is also expected to explore the possibility of incorporating kick-boxing training in the conventional training programme of Tang Soo Do martial art in Sarawak.

“We’ve already included stick, nancha-ku and knife training.  Kick-boxing is getting popular world-wide. We’ve to move with the times,” Jamel said.
