KUCHING: Over 1,000 different tools and electrical products are now available at the newly-launched branch of SK Hardware here.
Its 40,000-sq-ft building at Mile 5 Jalan Penrissen also provides customers with 100 parking bays for added convenience.
“Our aim is to provide better service and new experiences to our customers when they come and shop here,” said SK Hardware executive director Patrick Law during the grand opening of its Kuching branch yesterday.
From renovation tools to bathroom accessories, SK Hardware has it all under one roof.
Law added that SK Hardware was started in 1982 by his father and chairman, Law Siu Kee, as a home-based hardware store in Bintulu.
Over the years, the business prospered and it became an industrial hardware store in 2006 located at Medan Jaya Commercial Centre in Bintulu.
Officiating at the opening ceremony yesterday was Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang, who said SK Hardware is among the diligent ones who survived against all odds in the competitive hardware trade.
“SK Hardware provides a one-stop shop for their customers. I believe that consumers will flock here as I can see SK Hardware striving to achieve the status of a one-stop shop,” said Lo, who is also Padawan Municipal Council chairman.
He added that in the era of technology, business entities should make use of available digital platforms to boost sales and participate in the state’s vision on digital economy.
Kuching Resident Shukarmin Chasemon and Federation of Chinese Associations for Kuching, Samarahan and Serian Divisions president Dato Richard Wee were among those present at the event.
