KUCHING: Delegates from Yunnan Province, China who were here on a working visit, paid a courtesy call on Kuching City North Commission (DBKU) officials on Thursday.

According to DBKU commission member Datuk Wee Hong Seng, the delegation comprises six officials from various government agencies based in Yunnan.

During the courtesy call at DBKU headquarters here, the visitors discussed and exchanged ideas with the commission’s representatives on how to develop their respective areas.

“We also talked about how to transform the older parts of the cities. We had a very fruitful discussion with them (China delegates),” Wee added.

He said the last time DBKU received a courtesy call from a China delegation was last year.

DBKU director Jumaini Haili was also present during the courtesy call.
