Borneo Post, Yeo’s Run receiving good response

KOTA KINABALU: The Borneo Post and Yeo’s Run is receiving good response from the public.

Hundreds of entries have been received for the run which will be held here on September 24 to promote peace and harmony among the community in Sabah.

Jointly organised by The Borneo Post and Yeo’s, the 10km run is also being held in conjunction with several World Day celebrations, which is celebrated from September 21 to 28.

The run will feature the Men’s and Women’s Open, Men’s and Women’s Veteran as well as Student category (boys and girls).

Prize money will be up for grabs in both the Open and Veteran events, where the top three will receive RM500, RM300 and RM200 respectively.  .

Entry fees for the early birds (first 500 runners) for both the Open and Veteran is RM55. After that, the fee will rise to RM70.

Group registration is also available, with a maximum of 10 runners and fee of RM50 per person. As for students, the fee is RM50.

The organisers will also be giving away up to 1,500 goodie bags to the runners.

The run is expected to start at the Kota Kinabalu Sports Complex compound at 6am. Yeo’s, on the other hand, for their second year of co-organising the run will be sponsoring its beverage of choice, Jasmine Green Tea for all the participants.

Apart from Yeo’s, the run is also receiving support from Wanfa and Mee Daddy.

Apart from the main running event, the day will also feature various programmes including exhibition and promotion for Sabah local products, prevention of rabies, traditional dance and food and drinks by Yeo’s.

There will also be mini competitions for putting golf, comic custom and pet show.
