LIMBANG: An Indonesian woman and three men were detained under ‘Ops Tapis’ on Tuesday afternoon after syabu was found underneath the fan in her kitchen at a housing estate near Taman Damai here.
Limbang District police chief Supt Mohd Bukhori Saffai said the suspect was detained together with a young male suspect, 22, in the house at 1.30pm.
Two other men, aged 42 and 35, were detained during the operation conducted by police personnel from the Narcotics Crime Investigation Section in Limbang. Supt Mohd Bukhori said the duo were trying to escape on seeing the police but their personnel acted swiftly and detained them,
“A total of 8.74g of syabu worth RM1,600 was found underneath the fan in the kitchen of the woman.
“She tested negative for drugs while all three male suspects tested positive for Amphetamine and Methamphetamine,” he told reporters yesterday.
The case is being investigated under Section 39A(1) and Section (1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
