KOTA BHARU: Dr Mohd Hafidz Rizal Amran has been sacked as the PKR Kelantan Youth chief with immediate effect, according to the youth leader himself on a post in his Facebook account.
He said he was informed of the sacking by PKR National Youth chief Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad via a WhatsApp message.
“I received a WhatsApp message from YB Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad at 9.08am on my immediate sacking as the PKR Kelantan Youth chief,” he said in the post.
Dr Mohd Hafidz Rizal, when contacted, declined comment but said he would hold a press conference in Kuala Lumpur soon on the matter and state his stand.
The PKR Kelantan Youth Committee had expressed waning support for Dr Mohd Hafidz Rizal and called on him to resign.
The committee vice-chief Mohd Khairul Amin Abdul Rahman reportedly said that the majority of the committee members had signed a memorandum calling on the central leadership to sack Dr Mohd Hafidz Rizal. — Bernama
