KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s pioneer mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), redONE Network Sdn Bhd (redONE) yesterday re-launched its new prepaid plan for clients who want more data.

This plan upgrades existing plans and enables clients to get 20.5GB of data with just RM50 a month.

redONE chief sales officer Ben Teh said the prepaid plan was launched in Nov last year, but redONE understood the need of its clients for more data.

“We upgraded the level of this prepaid plan with more Internet data and faster speed so that users can use and control the amount of data they want,” he said.

The perks of the prepaid pack are free unlimited calls between redONE customers, even if they are out of credit.

“The new prepaid plan from redONE also offers free 4G LTE data with each top-up,” he said during the launch of the new plan at redONE’s office in Puchong.

In addition, redONE will distribute 30,000 redONE #ONEKAMPUS prepaid cards to 20 higher-learning institutions nationwide.

For as low as RM10, prepaid users can get 1GB 4G LTE data (100MB every day for 10 days). With a top-up of RM20, they can enjoy 2GB 4G LTE data (200MB every day for 20 days).

With top-ups of RM30, RM40 or RM50, they will get 9GB 4G LTE data (300MB every day for 30 days).

When all the free data is used up, customers have a second chance to surf the Internet on additional data.

The new prepaid plan is available at a retain price of RM10. After it is activated, users get a one-time activation bonus of 1.5GB (500MB 4G LTE and 1GB basic Internet) for 30 days.

The SIM card is preloaded with RM6 credit that can be used for calls or additional data.
