
Carpe Diem takes the Best Product Category with its Green Tea Swiss Roll with Cheese.
SIBU: Students of Sibu Vocational College recently held a cake and pastry sale as part of the course in the Hospitality Department and Bakery/Pastry Unit.
They were divided into six groups; Delicious Bakery; Sarawak Bakery; Naz Bakery; Masam Manis Bakery; Carpe Diem, and My Neighbour.
Among the products for sale were Hawaiian mini pizza, chicken wantan, pandan cupcake, Nutella Bun, green tea swiss roll with cheese filling and chocolate crepe.
Director of Sibu Vocational College Musthafa Sepawi officiated at the function which was held from 8am until 1pm.
In his speech, he said such an event gives culinary students the experience of being entrepreneurs.
He said it is the ministry’s aspiration to produce more entrepreneurs through Vocational Education Transformation.
Carpe Diem won in the Best Product Category while Naz Bakery won in the Best Packaging. Delicious Bakery is the winner for the Best Stall.
