KUCHING: Bandar Kuching Taekwondo Club (BKTC) has conducted the upgrading test for it members recently.
According to a press statement by the club, about 150 members have upgraded their colour belts, nine members obtained their 1st Dan Black belt while seven members obtained Second Dan Black Belt graded by Taekwondo Malaysia’s Senior Examiner and BKTC president Master Henry Lee (Seventh Dan).
During the test, he was assisted by BKTC chief instructor Master Fang Chee Jin.
BKTC is the pioneer member of World Taekwondo Federation-affiliated Sarawak Taekwondo Association hence its members are eligible to participate in
Sukan Sarawak (Suksar), Malaysian Games (Sukma), SEA Games, ASIA Games and Olympic Games.
BKTC was established in 1970s as a non profitable organisation promoting taekwondo in the state.
