SHAH ALAM: After a week of trial, a special room has been provided for the media to cover the murder case of Kim Chol or Kim Jong-nam, the estranged

half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

The room capable of accommodating 40 media personnel gets a live-feed of the court proceedings conducted on the fifth floor of the Shah Alam Court Complex.

The special room is located on the ground floor of the building.

According to a statement by the Federal Court Registrar’s Office (PKPMP), the provision of the room was due to limited number of seats in the court.

Since the first day of the trial on Oct 2, only 10 personnel from the local media and 10 from the foreign media were allowed in court.

Bernama, RTM, AFP, Reuters and AP were given priority to cover the trial daily while other media personnel had to take turns to enter the court. — Bernama
