MIRI: A total of 330 pupils and teachers of SR Sri Mawar had an energetic Friday morning in a two-hour event at their school compound to mark National Sports Day on Oct 14.

Pupils and teachers do the Zumba dance followed by a series of games, ending with a game of a tug-of-war.

“We are happy with the energy shown by the pupils, and we hope this will inspire them to participate in sports in the future,” said senior admin executive Ngui Hui Lin.

National Sports Day was initiated by the Ministry of Youth and Sports as a proactive step to transform Malaysia into a sports country.
