State welcomes Budget 2018 allocations – Abang Johari

KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg welcomes the Budget 2018 tabled by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, where he said focus and attention were given to the voice of people of Sarawak and Sabah.

“The state welcomes the Budget 2018 tabled by Datuk Seri Najib, where we can see a lot of funds being allocated in terms of infrastructure,” said Abang Johari.

He was speaking to The Borneo Post after attending the opening ceremony of the state Welfare Carnival at the Majma Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah hall at Jalan P Ramlee, here last night.

“Infrastructures such as schools, water supply and village road lightings were among the areas given attention,” he added.

He also thanked the Prime Minister for the RM1 billion allocated for broadband and telecommunication service in Sarawak and Sabah.

“I believe that the people will continue to rally behind the leadership of the current government who understands the current needs of the people particularly in Sarawak,”
