KUCHING: Hope Place recently came to the aid of 42 year old Sung Teck Joon who suffered from stroke and is currently in coma at the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH).

Led by founder Kelvin Wan, Hope Place visited Joon at SGH and presented his family with special milk and diapers.

Joon, whose wife passed away two years ago, has only a daughter who is a secondary school student.

Joon needs ‘Nutrien Fibre’ special milk and XL adult diapers daily.

Wan urged members of the public to step forward to assist Hope Place as they do not have such milk and diapers

Hope Place is an NGO that visits the poor and less fortunate to contribute some essential food items like rice, cooking oil, sugar, salt, biscuits, and noodles.

For families with special need children, elderly or disabled, Hope Place provides milk powder, oats and diapers as well.

Hope Place delivers once every two months as there are many families on their recipients list. Currently the NGO supports more than 170 families.
