Friendship between PBS, federal govt will continue – PM

KOTA KINABALU: Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Najib Tun Razak believes that the friendship between Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) and the federal government will continue for the benefit of the nation.

“I believe the friendship that PBS has extended all this while will continue for the benefit of the nation,” the Prime Minister said in his message in the Souvenir Programme for the 32nd PBS Congress to be held at Hongkod Koisaan on November 18.

In his message, the Prime Minister said social justice, political stability and economic progress will be pursued on the premise of unity among the people as embodied in the concept of ‘1Malaysia, Rakyat Didahulukan dan Pencapaian Diutamakan’ (1Malaysia, People First Performance Now).

Towards this end, he stressed that the government remained committed to uniting the people and placing their interests first while also prioritising performance for the success of the national agenda.

Meanwhile, Najib assured the Barisan Nasional (BN) federal government was paying close attention to Sabah and Sarawak and there was close cooperation and good understanding between BN leaders from the two states.

He added that BN grassroots leaders will go to the ground to meet with the people in order to understand their needs and help them solve their problems.
