Miri Trade Fair 16 attracts 87 exhibitors

MIRI: See Hua Marketing Sdn Bhd (SHM) in collaboration with Permaisuri Imperial City Mall and The Imperial Mall will hold the 16th edition of Miri Trade Fair (Mitraf 16) from tomorrow.

A total of 87 exhibitors will take part in the 4-day trade fair showcasing products like electronic and electrical items, furniture and bedding, kitchen and sanitary wares, tools and equipment, higher education, home improvement, security solutions, property development, motor vehicles, general trading, repairs and maintenance, food and beverages, bridal

and photography services, consumer goods, beauty and slimming products, handicraft, essential oils and perfumes, apparel, travel as well as cakes and pastries.

See Hua Group in collaboration with Food Land will hand out free gifts to subscribers of See Hua Daily News, The Borneo Post and Utusan Borneo during the fair starting 11am.

Food Land will be giving away 100 vouchers of various values with the highest worth RM20 per day.

In addition, See Hua Group will be handing out a total of 100 ‘mystery gifts packs’ each day.

In order to receive these gifts, show your latest three-month (from April to July 2017) subscription receipts or yearly subscription receipts.

Riam Road Secondary School will be holding an education fair throughout the 4-day.

On the first day (Nov 23), there will be singing by members of Miri Senior Citizen Service Centre at 10.30am followed by a 70s fashion contest at 6pm.

On Friday, there will be singing and dancing performances by Zhi Yin Singing and Dancing Group from 10am to 12.30pm followed by a creative art body painting demonstration by Maghimage Academy.

Pupils from Tenby International school Miri will showcase their talent during the ‘Musical Moments’ scheduled for 4.30pm.

The main event of Mitraf 16 will be the grand opening by Miri Mayor Adam Yii at 7pm, followed by a singing performance from ‘Xiao Dou Ya’ of Miri Musical Society.

A hive of exciting activities are planned for Saturday, including a Cosplay competition from 11am.

For shopaholics, a special 2-hour ‘Boulevard Rush’ organised by Boulevard Hypermarket & Departmental Store (The Imperial Mall) will be conducted from 2pm to 4.30pm.

A Christmas cooking demonstration by Buffalo Cooking Studio and Nasi Lemak making competition are scheduled for 5pm and 7pm respectively.

In the evening, visitors will be entertained by a live band featuring Elvis Presley’s songs by Galaxy Club Music Miri.

The last day of the trade fair (Sunday) will feature a children’s colouring contest at 10am followed by children’s storytelling from 2pm to 4.30pm.

The ‘Beauty Mama’ pageant for mothers will be held from 8.30pm.

Visitors spending a minimum of RM300 deposit/booking fee on motor vehicle/property or RM100 on the same day at participating booths, with multiple receipts, can participate in the lucky draw.

A total of 21 prizes will be up for grabs including a cooker hood, a Huawei P10 smartphone, an air conditioner, numerous home appliances and Boulevard gift vouchers.

Mitraf 16 which is endorsed by Miri City Council is open from 10am to 10pm.
