KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg yesterday received several courtesy calls in conjunction with the 13th World Islamic Economy Forum held here at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK).
The chief minister first received Singapore’s High Commissioner to Malaysia Vanu Gopala Menon followed by Republic of Tatarstan president Rustam Nurgaliyevich Minnikhanov.
Norwegian ambassador to Malaysia Gunn Jorid Roset was next to pay a courtesy call on Abang Johari, whose final visitor, Dr Mahmoud Al-Habbash, is the advisor to the Palestine president on religious affairs and Islamic relations.
State Secretary Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohd Morshidi Abdul Ghani and State Planning Unit director Datu Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki were also present.
