BR1M 2017 second payment from June 5.
KUALA LUMPUR: Application and update of information for 1Malaysia People’s Aid (BR1M) 2018 will commence on Monday until Dec 31.
The Finance Ministry in a statement yesterday said, application and update of information could be carried out manually or online via BR1M official portal at https://ebr1m.hasil.gov.my.
For manual application, the form can be obtained for free from any Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) branches, LHDN service centres and LHDN offices at Urban Transformation Centres.
“Applicants can also download the application form at BR1M official portal,” it said.
The ministry said the spouse of previous BR1M recipient who had passed away as well as applicants who were not eligible last year needed to make a fresh applications for BR1M 2018.
For existing recipients, updating should be carried out if there were changes to any personal information or at least once in three years. The ministry also said the government did not issue any statement on BR1M via WhatsApp and social media.
“Official information can only be obtained via BR1M 2018 pamphlets distributed to all BR1M recipients and via its official portal at https://ebr1M.hasil.gov.my.
“The government hopes payment of BR1M 2018 would help to lighten the cost of living of the people,” the ministry said.
