BINTULU: A 63-year-old man sustained light injuries after the car he was travelling in crashed into a road divider on Wednesday.
It is believed that the driver lost control of the vehicle, which then skidded and crashed into the road divider near a primary school here. The victim, identified as Ugun Bali, had to be extricated from the passenger seat by firefighters.
The Fire and Rescue Department received a distress call at 9.48pm and dispatched eight personnel to the scene.
However, they had difficulties reaching the location due to traffic congestion and only arrived around 10pm.
Ugun was taken to hospital in an emergency medical rescue services vehicle. Firefighters completed the operation at 10.35pm.
