KUCHING: A female motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a suspected hit-and-run on Thursday.
The 23-year-old from Simunjan was travelling along Jalan Setia Raja when the accident occurred around 11pm.
An ambulance arrived at the scene around midnight after receiving a call from the public.
The victim is believed to have suffered a serious neck injury.
In an unrelated incident, a 56-year-old motorcyclist was taken to Sarawak General Hospital after he was injured in a crash with a car.
The man, who lives in Demak Laut, was on his way home after finishing work at a coffee shop in Padungan around 10pm on Thursday when the accident occurred at Jalan Pending.
It is understood that the driver involved fled after the accident.
Witnesses at the scene called for an ambulance.
