SEDC entertains disabled children at Love-In-A-Box programme

KUCHING: Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) held its annual Love-In-A-Box programme with special children from the Association for the Welfare of Intellectually Disabled Children (Perkata) and Kuching Autistic Association (KAA) at the Windows On Kuching (WOK), 18th Floor of Riverside Majestic Hotel, here yesterday.

The programme was officiated at by SEDC chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Abdul Aziz Husain. Also present were SEDC general manager Soedirman Aini and PPES Works (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Lim Jit Yaw.

In his speech, Abdul Aziz said SEDC welcomes such opportunity in bringing a message of hope to all deserving people. He thanked the co-sponsors of the programme for the gifts.

This year, the beneficiaries of Love-In-A-Box programme received gifts which include school books, stationeries, school bags, educational toys and many more courtesy of PPES Works and Riverside Majestic Hotel.

“All parties should come together to spread the spirit of sharing, giving and compassion by contributing more to the special kids because Christmas season is always a good time to share our good fortune to help the needy,” he said.
